What ISP Requires on Your Label

Core requirements that apply across product categories. Our AI also applies category-specific rules (Supplement Facts, INCI lists, Nutrition Facts panels, etc.) based on what you select at checkout.

  • Front-of-pack warning octagon labels under Law 20.606 (ALTO EN: calories/sugar/sodium/saturated fat)
  • Nutritional declaration per 100g/ml in Chilean MINSAL format
  • Chilean importer name, address, and RUT (tax ID) required on label
  • Manufacturing date and expiry date in DD/MM/YYYY format
  • Country of origin declaration required
  • Net content in metric units

ISP Regulatory Context

Chile has the highest per-capita income in Latin America and the region's most mature e-commerce ecosystem. ISP (Instituto de Salud Pública) regulates supplements under Reglamento Sanitario de los Alimentos (RSA). Chile's front-of-pack warning label law (Law 20.606, enacted 2016) was the first of its kind globally and became the model for NOM-051 in Mexico and similar frameworks across LATAM. Chile–EU and Chile–US free trade agreements provide preferential (often 0%) import duty rates for qualifying health products.

WHY IT MATTERS

Non-Compliance with ISP Can Derail Your Entire Launch

Customs holds, product recalls, retailer delisting, and ISP enforcement action can destroy a market entry before it starts. A $999 label check before you print saves you from costs far greater.

🚢
Before You Ship

Catch label violations before you commit to a production run. Fix on-screen, not on 50,000 printed units.

🛍️
Before Retail Pitches

Retailers in Chile check label compliance during ranging meetings. Go in clean.

📦
Before Going Live

Online marketplaces in Chile require compliant labels before listing approval.
